Optic nerve swelling

Hi Steve,

I noticed you have not talked about measurements of the optic nerve in this lesson? Is this something that you apply at all?

Have had a recent case querying it’s size and have found some information on performing this.

Hi Sandra,

I am aware of the use of optic nerve measurements for assessment of intracranial pressure increases, especially in kids with shunts.

In my practice I don’t see such cases as they would be done at the women’s and children’s hospital in Adelaide,

I am keen to learn what you are using the measurement for as I can expand my skills.
