Hello just wondering what your thoughts are on this superficial lump.
      It’s not vascular
It has good through transmission but looks solid
Patient complains of pain up and down arm.
Wondering re nerve sheath tumour vs epidermoid cyst ?I couldn’t see a punctum. Its not red.

      Hi Jo,

I think it is most likely an ingrown hair.

The echogenic linear structure within it is a tangled hair and you have shown it in parts of long and short axis.

I think this appearance is fairly typical.

A nerve sheath tumour is unlikely to have this linear echogenic structure within it and I would also expect it to be vascular.

The pain up and down the arm is most likely unrelated.

      Steve.
