      Hi Steve,

I was wondering what was your opinion on these hyperechoic specks on the surface of the GB. They didn’t look like a true polyp when I turned in trans but I could constantly see it just on the surface of the GB wall.

      Is this an artefact?

      Thanks!

      Hi Diane,

I think this is pure physics.

If you look at where the echogenic foci are, they are situated where the sound beam is hitting the gallbladder wall perfectly specular.

So it is a specular reflection from a perfect 90 degree strike on the GB wall,

      Nothing pathological !

      Steve
