Steve, just being curious – how much time do you spend to do abdominal ultrasound? I know that every scan is of course different, but how long does it last generally?

      Hi, Winkowski.
In China, it usually takes 3-5 minutes to perform abdominal ultrasound.
Becasue the number of patients in China is huge, it won’t take much time for each patient.

You are a machine Xue !

I have seen you scan in Beijing and you are very efficient.

But there is a difference between your scan and mine.

When I do an abdomen I scan the whole abdomen and document all of the visceral organs, major vessels, pelvis etc.

When you scan it is a targeted scan to answer a clinical question you have and not many images are saved for documentation.

The thing that takes me most time is the documentation which the practice requires me to undertake.

If I could do a real time only assessment and then dictate my findings it would take me about 5 minutes.

BUT with documentation and a comprehensive scan I need a 20 minute appointment as a minimum.

      Steve
