Do you scan the axilla regardless if the breast findings are normal? Thanks

Yes 100% of my “around the clock” examinations receive an axilla assessment.
If the ultrasound is for a palpable lump in the lower inner quadrant part of the breast for example and the radiologist has requested a targeted examination of that area I would not include an axilla examination. That said, if the lump has suspicious findings then I revert to an “around the clock” examination including the axilla looking for satellite lesions and node involvement.
