?Bony Island Acetabulum

Hi Steve,

I’ve attached a cineloop and some images of a prominent “bony island” I saw on a recent hip ultrasound. The x-ray was reported NAD. Any opinions on what it is and any significance?

This looks like an Os Acetabuli to me,

It is a bony ossicle at the margin of the acetabular cup.

It may be a normal variant, but can be associated with femora-acetabular impingement or degenerative hip OA.
