Morton’s Neuroma

Hi Steve,
Something I noticed today. When I was trying to locate the digital nerve, I saw something that looked like it, but it was pulsatile. Are the digital arteries typically very close by the digital nerve? In other words, if I see a digital artery, should I be expecting to find the digital nerve nearby as well? Would it be same depth, deeper, more superficial? Thanks.

Hi David,

I think they run together as a neuromuscular bundle with both being located on the plantar aspect of the transverse inter metatarsal ligament. I suspect with my bimanual compression technique I compress the artery just leaving the nerve to be seen,
