The posterior part of an implant is a tricky area. Use a lower frequency transducer and don’t be afraid to use a convex array. A renal setting works surprisingly well. Place your focal zone towards the back of the implant. I am not concerned with the image quality in the superficial native breast as I have already examined this tissue and am now focusing on the posterior part of the implant. A little more transducer pressure can bring the posterior wall closer and help to minimize artifact.
